Shipping Costs
Please be advised that shipping costs are not provided at no charge. The term “free” is used to indicate that shipping is included in the purchase price of the smoke alarms. Accordingly, all shipping costs are incorporated into the total price of the photoelectric smoke alarms purchased from smartron.com.au.

Returns Policy

Should you choose to return a product due to a change of mind, the original shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund issued. To confirm the refund amount you may be entitled to, please contact us prior to returning the product to obtain details of applicable shipping costs. You may also request shipping cost details before your order is dispatched, and we will be pleased to advise you of the costs included in your purchase price.

Return Condition and Eligibility

Refunds will only be processed after the smoke alarms have been returned and received by us.

To be eligible for a return under this policy, products must:

  • Be in their original, unopened packaging
  • Include all original accessories
  • Be unused and undamaged while in the customer’s possession

Packaging must not be opened unless the product is faulty. For faulty products, please refer to our Warranty Terms and Conditions.

Change of Mind Returns

Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, all products sold on smartron.com.au are eligible for return due to change of mind under this policy. Where a product listing explicitly states that returns are not permitted (for example, special-order items), change-of-mind returns will not be accepted.

All returns are subject to the smartron.com.au Returns Policy Terms and Conditions, and customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

30 Day Fuss-Free Money Back Guarantee

At SMARTRON, we stand behind the quality of our products and therefore offer a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee.

If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may contact us within 30 days of taking delivery to arrange the return of the product. Upon receipt of the returned item, you will be eligible to receive either a store credit or a refund of the purchase price, excluding the original delivery charges.

A 10% restocking fee will be deducted from the original purchase price for all returns made under this policy.

Where a product listing specifically states that returns are excluded under this policy, no returns will be accepted.

Faulty Products / Warranty Claims

Warranty coverage for products is determined by the manufacturer’s warranty terms. Any failure resulting from misuse, damage, or lack of proper maintenance will be assessed by our engineers and, in most cases, will not be accepted as a valid warranty claim.

Please contact us directly by email to discuss your warranty claim. Once authorisation to return the product has been granted, you may return the item at your own expense, as return freight costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Upon receipt, we will forward the product to the manufacturer for assessment. Subject to the manufacturer’s determination, the product will be repaired, replaced, or refunded, in accordance with your instructions and the applicable warranty terms.

Cancelled Orders Orders cancelled after payment has been made via credit card or PayPal will incur a 10% administrative processing fee, which will be deducted from the purchase amount prior to the issuance of any refund.
